He graduated from Marquette University in 1979.
His alma mater inducted him into their Athletic Hall of Fame after his graduation.
He was brought up in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
He and rapper Nicki Minaj are both originally from Trinidad and Tobago.
