Producer and writer who created Bones and The Finder, the former of which was a hit on the Fox television network.
He became a professor at the University of British Columbia after earning a Master's in Fine Arts from the school.
He also wrote episodes of Judging Amy, Joan of Arcadia, and North of 60. His first job was as a writer on Neon Writer from 1991.
He was married to Brigitte Hanson for 22 years.
He created and produced the series Traders, which starred actor David Hewlett.
