Canadian theater and film producer known for co-producing the James Bond film series.
He joined the circus at age 17, traveled for several years, served in the Canadian Army, then began working as a talent scout for European stage productions.
He almost rejected Paul McCartney as the singer of the title song for Live and Let Die, but he liked the song too much and was told it was McCartney and the song or no song at all.
He married Jaquie Saltzman and together they had three children: Hilary, Steven, and Christopher. He retired after his wife died of cancer in 1980.
He worked on Tomorrow from 1970 with Olivia Newton-John.
