Harold Wilson
Politician
British Labour Party Secretary and two-time Prime Minister from 1964 to 1970 and 1974 to 1976. He was believed by some to be a Soviet agent after a Soviet defector secretly claimed as much.
He first began working in British politics in 1945 when he began representing Ormskirk in Parliament.
With the Labour party winning the 1964 election, he became the Prime Minister, liberalizing the country's social policies and trying to stave off deflation.
His wife Mary Wilson was a published poet; they had two sons.
Paul McCartney and The Beatles referenced him and politician Edward Heath in their song Taxman.
