Actor who appeared in the Broadway productions of "Pal Joey," "Kiss Me, Kate" and "Make a Wish." His regional and national tour credits include roles in "Show Boat," "Oklahoma!", and "Once Upon a Mattress."
He began his career as a dancer with the San Francisco Ballet. He debuted on Broadway in 1945 in "Mr. Strauss Goes to Boston."
Beginning in 1970, he taught dance at California State University, Chico.
He allegedly had love affairs with both playwright Arthur Laurents and author
He and Nanette Fabray were both in the original Broadway cast of "Make a Wish."
