Best known for her time as an anchor for ESPN's Sportscenter. She also presented ABC's NBA Countdown and was the first woman to host CNN Sports Tonight.
After attending the University of Notre Dame, she worked for an Indiana NBC affiliate.
Beginning in 2002, she hosted CBS' The Early Show.
Her marriage to NBC sportscaster Dan Hicks produced three daughters: Ellery, Riley, and Hannah.
As co-host of CBS This Morning, she counted Julie Chen among her colleagues.
