Hanna Holborn Gray
Teacher
German teacher who is a historian of Renaissance and Reformation politics and was once the president of history emeritus at the University of Chicago.
She graduated from Bryn Mawr College and went to Oxford as a Fulbright Scholar.
She served as chairman of the board of Howard Hughes Medical Institute until 2010.
She married Charles Montgomery Gray whom she met while attending Harvard University in 1954.
Like her, scientist Yuan Lee has also worked as a professor at the University of Chicago.
