Known best for her title role in the KBS series Hwang Jini and for her portrayal of Gil Ra-im in the SBS comedy Secret Garden, this Korean screen actress went on to win an MBC Drama Award for her starring role in Empress Ki.
After studying film and theater at Dankook University, she appeared in the 1990s series Adults Don't Know and later won a Blue Dragon Film Award for her supporting role in Ditto.
In 2013, she became the first Korean performer to sign with the Los Angeles-based United Talent Agency.
Her brother, Jun Tae-soo, also had a successful television acting career.
In 2003, she released her first vocal music recording. The album, Home Run, features additional vocals by Psy (the pop star who released the popular "Gangnam Style" single).
