Champion downhill mountain bike racer who won the Downhill World Cup Championship three times.
He first came to national attention at age 17 when he competed at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
Not limited to just biking, he also competed at the Dusi Canoe Marathon, and the Roof of Africa Enduro Motorcycle race.
He grew up in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
His home country is more known for great rugby players like Coenie Oosthuizen than for mountain bikers.
