ECB Cricketer of the Year in 2011 and the first English spinner to take 50 wickets in a calendar year. He played for Northamptonshire from 1998-2004; and again from 2005 until 2013. He competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.
He was part of the side which won the Under-19 World Cup in 1998.
He became the first English off-spinner since Jim Laker to take ten wickets in a match in March 2010.
He has children named Wilfred, Charlotte and Jessica with his wife Sarah, whom he married in January 2010.
He and Kevin Pietersen represented England at the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
