Grace Ingalls

The youngest of writer Laura Ingalls Wilder's four siblings, she is a character in her their sister's Little House on the Prairie series.
In her early adulthood years, she worked as a schoolteacher. Later in her life, she became a freelance journalist.
Like her sisters Carrie and Laura, she died from complications of diabetes.
Born in Burr Oak, Iowa, she later settled in Manchester, South Dakota. Her marriage to farmer Nathan William Dow began in 1901.
After her parents died, Grace Ingalls became the primary caretaker for her blind older sister, Mary Ingalls.
