Glen Keane
Animator
Disney animator who worked on "The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Tangled." He was awarded the 1992 Annie Award for character animation, the 2007 Winsor McCay Award for lifetime contribution to the field of animation, and became a Disney Legend in 2013.
He grew up watching his father draw cartoons and developed an early interest in art. Later, he studied at Cal Arts under the legendary Jules Engel.
He spent more than 37 years with Disney as a hand-drawn and later CGI animator.
He had a son and a daughter with his wife Linda to whom he was married for more than thirty-five years.
His father, Bil Keane, launched the long-running comic strip "The Family Circus" on February 28, 1960.
