Girsh Blumberg
Physicist
Physicist who is best known for experimenting with condensed matter, Raman scattering, and nano-optics. In his long career he was awarded over thirty patents and authored or co-authored dozens of publications.
He started his research after earning a PhD in Physics from the Estonian Academy of Sciences.
He became a Professor of Physics at Rutgers University in 2008.
He and his two sisters were raised in Viljandi, Estonia.
He became a professor at Rutgers University a year after Ray Rice would leave the school to enter the NFL.
