Film and television actress most well known as China Lee on the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives. She has also had prominent roles in films like Bamboozled, Jackie Brown, and How to Be a Player.
After studying human communication and dramatic arts at Howard University, she earned her big break starring in LL Cool J's music video for "Hey Lover."
In 2000, she portrayed the warrior Amoria on the popular television series Xena: Warrior Princess.
She married fellow actor Michael Jai White in 2015. She has two daughters from a previous marriage, Alaia and Niahla Waters.
During her time on Days of Our Lives, she starred alongside Josh Taylor.
