Broadway and off-Broadway actor and singer who originated the role of Rich Goranski for the musical Be More Chill. He was an ensemble member and understudy for all the male roles in Spring Awakening. He was also involved in American Idiot.
He began performing at the age of six. His first interest was modeling, but decided it was boring. He started doing music at 10 years old, starting with his voice and learning to play drums and guitar.
He debuted on Broadway in a 1999 performance of Les Misérables in the role of Gavroche.
Both of his parents are musicians.
He was cast alongside Jack Huston in the 2012 drama film Not Fade Away.
