George Young
Music Producer
Rock musician and songwriter who produced the hard rock band AC/DC. He was also known as one-half of the rock band Easybeats with Harry Vanda; they were known for hits such as "Friday on My Mind" and "Love Is in the Air."
He attended Sefton High School.
He and Vanda were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1988 and the Easybeats in 2005.
His older brother Alex joined the band Grapefruit, and his younger brother Malcolm became a member of AC/DC.
His younger brother Angus Young gained international fame as the legendary guitarist of the hard rock band AC/DC.
