English Victorian painter and sculptor usually associated with the Symbolist movement. He created Physical Energy, located in Cape Town, South Africa.
He engaged in the arts from an early age and started learning sculpture with William Behnes at age 10.
He is most their for his allegorical works, such as Hope and Love and Life.
He married Ellen Terry in 1864.
He was inspired by the works of Michelangelo Buonarroti.
