Heavyweight fighter who turned professional in 1996, and fought in both the UFC and Pride Fighting Championships.
He was a star all-around fighter before his MMA days: he was a Canadian amateur boxing champion, and a world champion arm wrestler.
In 2012, after his career had ended, he was diagnosed with early onset dementia.
He was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago, but moved to Barrie, Ontario, Canada as a kid.
His first professional loss came at the hands of Don Frye.
