Played the role of the father in The Brady Bunch Movie, and is also known for roles in the film, Office Space and Disney's Kim Possible. He had starring roles on television as well in the shows Midnight Caller, American Gothic, and Crusade. He began playing Kent Davison on the HBO series Veep in 2013.
His first role in his high school production was as Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
He has appeared in several TV shows including True Blood and Chuck.
He married Teddi Siddall in 1992. They have one child named Mary. Siddall filed for divorce from Cole in June 2017 and died in 2018.
He played a role in the film, Talladega Nights starring Will Ferrell.
