American Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the 2017-2018 season for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats whose first professional contract was a a two-way contract with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League. He then played for the Houston Rockets in his rookie professional season.
He finished his career at Clayton High School as the school's all-time leading scorer, rebounder and shot-blocker.
He was a two-time AAC Defensive Player of the Year. He was the AAC Tournament MVP in 2018.
He has a brother named Jeremiah and sisters, Azia and Tinija. His parents are Tammy McKey and Gary Clark Sr.
He and PJ Tucker were both power forwards for the Rockets during the 2018-2019 NBA season.
