Notable for her roles in telenovelas such as Seguro y Urgente (as Usmail Irureta) and Decisiones (as Erika Pardo), this entertainer first rose to public attention as a finalist in the 1996 Miss Venezuela beauty pageant.
She made her soap opera debut in a 1997 episode of Destino de Mujer.
In 2008, she acted in two episodes of Amas de Casa Desesperadas.
Born Gabriela Vergara Aranguren, she spent her youth in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2009, she welcomed twin daughters named Emiliana and Alessandra.
She and Jaime Camil were both in the cast of the 2009 Mexican film Recien Cazado.
