Known for her roles in such telenovelas as Por Tu Amor and Tierra de Pasiones, she also made Venezuelan headlines as the result of a public feud with her fashion model twin sister, Daniela Spanic.
Before becoming an actress, she competed in the 1992 Miss Venezuela pageant.
She played twins Paulina and Paola in the internationally-popular telenevola, La Usurpadora.
She has a twin sister named Daniela. Her marriage to fellow telenovela actor Miguel de Leon ended as a result of her affair with another telenovela star, José Ángel Llamas.
She and the Mexican-born actress and singer, Lucero, starred in the popular Soy Tu Dueña telenovela.
