Instagram star who captured the national spotlight when she was reported missing on September 11, 2021. She had not been seen or heard from since August 2021. On September 19th, 2021 her body was found in Grand Teton National Park.
She has been popular on Instagram and YouTube as someone living the survivalist lifestyle described as "van life." She and her fiancé Brian Laundrie documented their journeys in a van and hiking across America on their YouTube channel Nomadic Statik, as well as their Instagram account.
The last place she had been seen was near the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. There was a rescue search, and on September 19, 2021 a body was found that matched the description of Petito's body.
She was born and raised in Blue Point, New York. Her father is Joseph Petito and her mother is Nicole Schmidt. She has a younger brother. She and Laundrie were engaged in 2020.
She is similar to Jennelle Eliana, another YouTube star who documented her "van life."
