Freeman Dyson
Mathematician
British-American theoretical and mathematical physicist and statistician. He is known for his works in quantum field theory, astrophysics, nuclear physics and engineering. He died on February 28, 2020 at the age of 96.
As a child, he showed an interest in mathematics and the solar system.
He worked at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton University.
His first wife was the Swiss mathematician Verena Huber-Dyson. His second wife was named Imme Jung. He had six children. His eldest daughter, Esther Dyson, is an investor and journalist.
His father was musician and composer George Dyson.
