He made his acting debut as Miguel Fernández in the TV series Santa Teresa de Los Andes in 1989.
He won season 3 of the Chilean version of Strictly Come Dancing, El baile en TVN.
He has five children, Simon, Rocío, Elisa, Angel, and Ismael, with Carmen Romero.
He played Bianchi in Pablo Larrain's 2016 biographical drama film Neruda starring Gael Garcia Bernal.
