Actress who is best recognized for her recurring roles on television including as Grandma Buller on the sitcom Friday Night Dinner. She is also known for having portrayed Mrs. Bassey on Casualty and Martha Tanner on Doctors.
She first started her acting career in 1961 after she made her feature film in Over the Odds. She then landed her first recurring television role as Constance Povey in The Old Wives' Tale.
She is also known for her stage acting career and has performed in several productions at the Royal National Theatre including The Seagull, Pericles, and Broken Glass.
She was born in London where she was raised by her father Joseph and her mother Letitia.
She appeared alongside fellow actors Phil Davis and Alan Ford in the 2016 documentary feature In the Company of Joan.
