Famous for his solo albums Asphalt Massaka, Banger Leben Kurzer, and Killa, this European hip-hop artist is also notable for his collaborations with the German rapper Kollegah (Felix Blume).
Initially performing under the stage name of Farid Urlaub, he launched his career in his late teens.
His 2010 "Es Ist Soweit" music video includes an appearance by Brazilian-German soccer striker Kevin Kuranyi.
A member of a Moroccan family, he was born in Spain and raised primarily in Germany. His real name is Farid El Abdellaoui.
At the start of his career, Bang recorded under rapper Eko Fresh's German Dream music label.
