She worked in gynaecology and pediatrics before joining the Peoples Party in 1997.
She is the aunt of Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, a three time Provincial Sindh Minister and current member and leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
She is a prominent Pakistani politician like Imran Khan.
