Esteban Jordan
World Music Singer
Known as El Parche, he was a Tejano music pioneer who played thirty-five different instruments, including the accordion.
A birth defect left him partially blind as an infant and, unable to work on the fields, he passed his time learning the accordion.
While still staying close to his musical roots, he has expanded his musical repertoire into according jazz and salsa, as well as introducing synthesizers into his music.
He grew up in Elsa, Texas to migrant worker parents.
He played a street accordionist in the film Born in East L.A., which starred Cheech Marin.
