Eric Zemmour
Journalist
A French writer and political journalist, he is best known for his controversial Figaro magazine column. A staunch anti-liberal on economic issues and an anti-racist and anti-feminist, he refused to ally himself with any one political party.
He studied at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Institute of Political Studies of Paris) and began his journalistic career with Le Quotidien de Paris (The Paris Daily). He later became an editor for Le Figaro.
He co-hosted a weekly political talk show with Eric Naulleau.
He was born in Montreuil, France to a Jewish family of Algerian descent. He married Mylene Chichportich.
He published a biography of Jacques Chirac entitled L'Homme qui ne s'aimait pas (The Man Who Did Not Like Himself).
