Canadian actor who won a 2000 Grand Jury Award at L.A. Outfest, and played Uncas in the 1992 film, The Last of Mohicans. In 2005, he portrayed Sitting Bull in Into the West.
He was adopted as a six-month-old baby in the Western Arctic, but eventually moved to Ontario after being a victim of abuse. He started acting in 1985 as a member of the cast for the production The Cradle Will Fall, produced by the Theatre of Change at the Actor's Lab.
He worked at Resource Assistance for Youth (R.A.Y.) as an outreach worker and in 1993, he was named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World.
He was married to Leah Schweig from 1999 until their divorce in 2000.
He co-starred with Amy Wright in the 1995 Disney film, Tom and Huck, as Injun Joe.
