Enn Vetemaa
Novelist
Twentieth-century Estonian writer who became a master of the Estonian Modernist novella. He is perhaps best known for Monument, a work published in 1966.
He studied chemical engineering at Tallinn Polytechnic Institute and later trained as a musician at the Tallinn Conservatoire.
His poetry collections include Critical Age and Game of Snowballs.
His father was an architect, and his grandfather was a photographer and radio engineer.
He was a contemporary of American writer Joseph Heller.
