He was an offensive machine during his time with the WHL's Medicine Hat Tigers from 2009 to 2012, scoring 143 goals and tallying 109 assists in 202 games.
His mother Patricia was an Olympic rower.
He was teammates with star winger Corey Perry in Anaheim.
