Award-winning Italian singer known as Dolcenera. Her albums Un Mondo Perfetto and Il Popolo dei Sogni went platinum in Italy and two other albums also charted in the top 20.
After studying clarinet, piano, and singing, she formed her first band in 1993. She later attended the University of Florence, where she studied mechanical engineering.
Her big musical break came in 2003, when she won the Sanremo Music Festival. She also acted in the film Scrivilo sui Muri.
She's dated Gigi Campanile. Her parents are named Mimma and Gino.
She collaborated with Thom Yorke on the song Il Luminal D'immenso (L'ombra di Lui).
