She began as a theater actress who took notable roles like that of Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for the role of Margo in 1992.
Her daughter Angela Emmett Jeffrey was born on April 15, 2000.
She co-starred with Kathryn Hays, who played Kim Sullivan Hughes, on the soap opera As the World Turns.
