Elia Viviani
Cyclist
Cyclist who won gold in the omnium while representing Italy at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He became one of the most decorated riders in the world, having won five gold medals at the European Elite Championships from 2012 to 2015.
He was raised in the Italian village of Vallese di Oppeano. He grew up playing a variety of sports, including soccer and tennis.
His has been given the nickname "Il Veggente," meaning "The Seer," due to his ability to foresee the movements of other cyclists during races.
His parents are Renato and Elena Viviani. He has three siblings.
He and Gianni Meersman have both raced for Quick-Step Floors.
