Musician whose best known by his stage name Smoov-E with hit albums such as Keep Your Hand Out My Pocket, Confessions, Assuefatto, and Long Duck Dong. He has collaborated with known artists such as Too Short, Brotha Lynch Hung, and Mac Dre.
He released his first self-titled debut album Smoov-E in 1999 after graduating high school.
He harassed his parents for a drum set growing up and it became the first instrument he ever played.
He was born to parents Alan and Lee Meltzer in Summertown, Tennessee, the youngest of four. He and his family later moved to Sebastopol, California where he was raised.
He grew up listening to the likes of Whitney Houston, The Pretenders and The Talking Heads.
