Edward Felten
Computer Scientist
Computer scientist and Princeton University professor who, in 2011, became the United States Federal Trade Commission's Chief Technologist. He also served on the board of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and won the EFF's Pioneer Award.
In 1985, he graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a degree in physics. He later earned a PhD in computer science from the University of Washington.
He published a well-known study on the subject of the Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI).
He was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey.
He and Charles Bachman both had prominent careers as computer scientists.
