Eduardo Cruz-Coke
Politician
Former 1946 presidential candidate in Chile and principal founder of the country's health care system. He served as a Senator for Santiago from 1941 to 1957 and he was also the Chilean Ambassador to Peru.
In 1921, he graduated from the Universidad de Chile.
He was named the head of the prestigious National Committee on Atomic Energy in 1963.
He was born in Valparaíso, Chile.
He and acclaimed poet, Pablo Neruda, both studied at the Universidad de Chile.
