Remembered best for playing Dr. Michael Rossi on the 1960s ABC soap opera Peyton Place, this popular actor also appeared in episodes of Wagon Train, Gunsmoke, The Twilight Zone, and Perry Mason, among other popular television series.
After briefly studying at Tulane University and serving in the United States Navy, he began his acting career. His early credits include roles in several Roger Corman-produced B-movies.
He portrayed United States President Harry S. Truman in a touring theatrical production titled Give 'Em Hell, Harry.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he later settled in Los Angeles, California, with his wife Patsy and the couple's four daughters and two sons.
He acted with Barry Sullivan in a 1962 episode of NBC's The Tall Man.
