Opposition leader within Russia's political ecosystem who served as a member of the State Duma from 2011-2016. He then went on to become the leader of the Party of Changes and directly opposed Vladimir Putin.
He served in the Soviet Union's KGB from 1981-1992.
In 2013, he was interviewed on Voice of America.
He married Valeriya Surshkova in 2012.
He has had conversations with American politician Ben Cardin.
