As a high school player, he won a national championship at Findlay Prep.
He was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2010.
His parents are Brendetta Richardson and D.J. Richardson, Sr.
He was teammates with future NBA player Avery Bradley at Findlay Prep.
