Youngest member of girl group Fifth Harmony, which was formed on the second season of the TV show The X Factor. In 2018, she and the band parted ways to pursue their solo careers.
Her audition song for The X Factor was Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy." She was complimented by L.A. Reid for her vocal interpretation of the pop hit.
She, along with Fifth Harmony, signed a joint record deal with Syco Music, Simon Cowell's label, and Epic Records, L.A. Reid's label, in early 2013.
Music runs through her family as her mother sang in a reggae band and her brothers sang in church.
She and Fifth Harmony came in third on The X Factor after Tate Stevens and Carly Rose Sonenclar.
