Goalkeeper who played most of his career with Olympiacos, logging 152 appearances.
His tenure with Olympiacos was briefly broken up early on in 1996 when he agreed to be loaned out to Proodeftiki.
He was nicknamed "The Eagle" for the way he helped lift Olympiacos out of a decade-long slump; he contributed greatly to the team's seven consecutive championships.
His family was residing in Piraeus when he was born, and he began playing soccer while he was still young.
He and Vassilis Lakis both played for the Greek national team.
