Well known for her portrayal of Sophia Greenleaf in the series Greenleaf, she had previously been seen in a recurring role on TNT's Falling Skies and would star in the Lifetime TV movie A Country Christmas Story.
Her first role on a screen of any kind was for a series of SC-ETC health videos titled Healthy Hanna. She then appeared in the award-winning short film Crossing the River.
She has done a mission trip to Nicaragua and enjoys helping others in general.
She and her younger sibling were raised in South Carolina by parents who worked as a teacher and realtor.
She starred opposite Dolly Parton in the television movie A Country Christmas Story.
