Stage name D-Roc, he became best known as one of two members of the hip hop duo Ying Yang Twins. The duo was known for top singles such as "Salt Shaker," "Wait (The Whisper Song)," "Shake" and "Badd," but they went mainstream in 2003 after collaborating with Britney Spearson her album In the Zone, and with Lil Jon on the track "Get Low."
He and Kaine made their debut as the Ying Yang Twins in 1997.
He worked as a composer on the reality TV series Flavor of Love. He was an actor in the 2012 movie Mountain Mafia.
He married Porsche Holmes.
He was a writer for music on the soundtrack of the Ice Cube movie Ride Along.
