Speedskater who has won numerous Olympic medals, including a gold medal in the team pursuit at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.
He made his Olympic debut in 2006, and won a silver medal in the team pursuit.
He won his first World Championship in 2008, in the 1500 meter race, which he won again in 2012.
He was born in Chetwynd, British Columbia.
He has often competed against Shani Davis.
