Delsa Solorzano
Politician
Venezuelan politician and lawyer who is known for being the Vice President of the Democratic Socialist party Un Nuevo Tiempo. She is also known for being the Vice President of the Human Rights Commission of Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
She graduated from the Central University of Venezuela where she specialized in criminal sciences. She then began writing for the newspaper El Universal Diaries and went on to teach at the University of Santa Maria. Her entrance into politics occurred in 2005 when she was a candidate for the National Assembly.
She is known for having been elected deputy to the National Assembly of Venezuela in 2005.
She is the daughter of fellow political leaders Cesar Orlando Solorzano and Esperanza de Soloranzo.
She is known for having been one of the leading Venezuelan oppositions against Hugo Chávez since the beginning of his government reign.
