NCAA National Championship winning forward for the University of Virginia who was also named the NABC Defensive Player of the Year and ACC Defensive Player of the Year for that same 2019 season. He was selected fourth overall in the 2019 NBA Draft and would become a member of the Atlanta Hawks.
He played high school ball at Friends' Central School and was a four-star recruit. He chose Virginia over North Carolina State University and the University of Notre Dame.
During his freshman season at Virginia, he was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team and named the ACC Sixth Man of the Year.
He was raised with sisters Candice and Cheyanne, as well as his brother Aaron by their mother Priscilla Hunter.
He was a college teammate of fellow NCAA national champion Kyle Guy.
