Prior to finding success, she was the subject of a kidnapping in Venezuela. She claimed to have survived by keeping calm and not reacting.
She served as a judge for Miss USA 2012, given her win in 2008.
She married Michael Pagano in 2013. They welcomed their first child in 2016.
She has competed on Celebrity Apprentice, hosted by Donald Trump.
